I am extremely glad we chose this company. I was nervous because finding honest, good quality HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing companies is hard to find. My families story and how 2nd Wind Responded made them a customer for life. My wife and I bought our home about a year and a half ago and I knew the HVAC was already 20 years old was hoping to squeeze some more life out of it before replacing. My wife and I return home from the hospital with our first born child, and the air went out! In the middle of 100 degree temps. I did quick research and found 2nd Wind they got a young tech whom was extremely professional here within 30 minutes, he evaluated and said they’d have to replace. I explained we needed to get house cooled down for the baby and he immediately called his boss and they grabbed window AC units brought them to our home installed them at no charge until a central HVAC fix could be made. They showed the human side of a business and customer care that many don’t these days. The next big thing they did thats rare these days I told them I wanted the same Goodman Central Pack we had because it lasted 20 years. They didn’t try to upsell me, cut me a break on the price and owner spoke with me on the phone thanking me for the business and said he had kids so he understood the situation I was in with a newborn and would get the team out there as soon as possible to install and replace with the new unit. Crew got here and completed the entire install in a single day even ran new returns and did it professionally. This is a great company, its so rare to find companies like this that actually care about the customer, the quality of their work and aren’t focused on an upsell for everything. Just good people, good firm they have my business for life.
Michael and Jeff did an amazing job of resolving my washing machine plumbing concerns within a day of me entering my appointment. Customer service is always A1 with 2nd Wind. Recently, Angel assisted me with correcting exposed wires on an AC unit. I've also had previous HVAC service with a great experience. 2nd Wind is my home maintenance go-to for ease of scheduling, great communication, knowledgeable techs, and always coming at the upper end of the scheduling, if not earlier. They also provide quick diagnostic, upfront pricing, and are a professional and responsive team. Customer service and quality of work allows me to refer them to other locals.
We had our annual maintenance on our heating and air conditioning system performed on 10/3/2025 and the service tech told us that our heat exchange had a crack in it that it would have to be fixed before we could use it before Winter set in to the tune of $2,762.00 for labor. The heat exchange was under warranty but the labor ran out in 2024. I went out and checked out the crack in the heat exchange myself and the crack was pretty big and could not occurred just recently. We got a 2nd opinion and was told this could have been there for over a year. I also have pictures below of other parts of our unit. My question is, if proper maintenance on our unit was performed, especially in the Fall of last year, why wasn't this caught while the warranty on labor was still in effect. These pictures are a bad reflection on how proper maintenance was performed on the entire unit. The 2nd opinion also reflected there was a coolant leak. Why wasn't this addressed? We have been a customer with 2nd Wind for 20+ years. We feel 2nd Wind had done a very poor service for us and have been taken advantage of.
